Work Based Learning (WBL)

Work Based Learning is an innovative and efficient way to study work-related topics and a valuable approach for developing the full potential of participants’ learning within a working environment. The WBL studies recognize all relevant prior learning and training programmes (Middlesex Management Development Programme) undergone by the participants for transfer of credits towards work based awards.

Special features of WBL

  • Identification and evaluation of learning from work.
The opportunity to use learning from work within a programme of study negotiated with the University and your employers.
  • The freedom to design an individual programme and pace of study.
  • The opportunity to complete a programme of study entirely at, for and through work.
  • The opportunity to draw upon learning opportunities within the participants’ work role and to undertake extended project work.
  • The opportunity to combine WBL Studies with other subject areas as part of a multidisciplinary degree programme.
