The completion and submission of the project will enable the participants to demonstrate application of knowledge and achievement of the learning outcomes specified in the pre-requisite courses and in the designated work based activity in each course. |

| Unit 1: |
Action Research: Techniques and Design
• Course participant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of practical issues in
work based research
• Evaluate a range of appropriate research approaches, their limitation and uses
• Explain own role as a worker/researcher
• Explain ethical, resource and access issues for undertaking work based
research within own work place

Use of Research Instruments
Course participants will be able to select and justify the use of appropriate research methods and instruments for collecting and analysing research data in the workplace.

Preparation of Project Proposal and Submission of Project Paper

METHODOLOGY:
The approach will be learner centred requiring the participants to employ directed reading, resource based learning and tutorial guidance. Individually prepared work based project: framework and contents will be unique in each instance and will have been negotiated through the instructor/tutor/ course leader.
EVALUATION:

| - Project Paper Presentation/Defence (50%) |
| Participants will submit 4,000-4,500 word project paper; written work will cover project design and implementation, project area(s), project findings and recommendations including insights from learning from courses in the programme |
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Participants are required to engage in self-managed learning activities in order to develop their own research proposals and resources. Project paper will be submitted to Middlesex University for external assessment and award of Advanced Diploma (Sales Management) by the University.
GRADING:
A 70 and above
B 60-69
C 50-59
D 40-49
Fail 39 and below
COURSE POLICY:
1. Course participants must attend at least 70% of the scheduled 20 contact hours; otherwise participants will not be eligible to pass this course.
2. Course participants are expected to pass all assessment areas to pass the course
3. Course participants who do not pass any of the assessment areas for the first time is eligible to re-sit the area of assessment without penalty.
4. In a situation where a course participant re-sits an area of assessment on the second attempt, participant can only attain a conditional pass (max 40%).
5. The instructor reserves the right to change the format of assessment if deemed necessary, with the approval of the Course Leader/ Program Director.
