| OBJECTIVE: |
Study of the elements of resource management in sales. Upon completion of the course,
participants should be able to manage their resources for optimum sales results, by using a systematic
approach in planning, organising and staffing, leading, and controlling resources. |

| Unit 1: |
Planning
The course participants will examine key elements that are involved in a
strategic planning and implementing process and their concepts.

| Unit 2: |
Organising and Staffing
The course participants will learn the various tools and methods in recruiting,
organising, training, coaching, and managing human resources in an organisation.

| Unit 3: |
Leading
The course participants will acquire various leadership skills in managing and
developing teams, and managing change.
|
| Unit 4: |
Controlling
The course participants will examine the importance of controlling resources and the
various tools and methods for implementing an effective control system using management
information systems.

METHODOLOGY:
Interactive sessions, self-discovery, workshops, business simulation games, presentations, case studies, and assignments.

GRADING:
A 70 and above
B 60-69
C 50-59
D 40-49

COURSE POLICY:
1. Course participants must attend at least 70% of the scheduled 20 contact hours; otherwise
participants will not be eligible to pass this course.
2. Course participants are expected to pass all assessment areas to pass the course
3. Course participants who do not pass any of the assessment areas for the first time is eligible to re-
sit the area of assessment without penalty.
4. In a situation where a course participant re-sits an area of assessment on the second attempt,
participant can only attain a conditional pass (max 40%).
5. The instructor reserves the right to change the format of assessment if deemed necessary, with
the approval of the Course Leader/ Program Director.
