Under his guidance, KDU College has become a leading centre for tertiary education and professional development.

In 1999, Dato' (Dr.) C Q Teo pioneered the setting up of the successful KDU Smart School Sdn. Bhd. His foresight in planning its unique market positioning and high level of academic commitment has set the benchmark for private and secondary school in Malaysia.
