Introduction to Search Marketing 

The Introduction to Search Marketing module introduces you to the world of search engine marketing (SEM). As search is one of the more technical streams of the post graduate diploma, this module will cover key concepts of SEM to provide you with a solid understanding before diving deeper into the individual modules.

On completion of this module, you will be able to: 

  • Set up your own website so you can follow along with the lecturers throughout the course, putting key learnings into practice as you go
  • Understand how each discipline within search marketing interacts with and affects the others
  • Understand how search marketing sits within the wider digital marketing practice

 

SEO Setup 

The SEO Setup module covers the key concepts relating to Search Engine Optimization, how search engines work and the key components of Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). You will begin by setting your business, website and SEO objectives and become aware of free, paid and keyword research tools you can use in your SEO activities.

The Specialist Diploma in Search Marketing costs RM5,500 to study online or RM6,000 for a 6-day instructor-led workshop with online support, excluding examination fee USD$200.

The Specialist Diploma in Search Marketing is assessed by one three hour exam; these are administered by our computer-based testing partner, Pearson Vue, via its global network of test centers. The exam is split into three sections; candidates need to achieve a minimum of 60% in each section to pass the exam.

Your examination fee for first time sitting is USD$200 and it is not included in the course fee. The candidate pay examination fee directly to Pearson Vue when you book your online examination. The subsequent re-sits due to failed attempts will incur a fee of approximately USD$75 or local currency equivalent payable directly to the center when you book your examination.

The next intake will commence May 27, 2018. There will be 48-hour instructor-led workshop plus 30-hour online video and e-learning support.  6 x full day on weekend, from 9am to 5pm at KDU Glenmarie Campus, Shah Alam.

You may also opt for Study Online with 30-hour online video plus e-learning support, and commence anytime that is convenient for you.
